Your medical record is confidential. We use computerised Medical records which are password protected and backed up daily. We follow the Australian Federal Privacy Laws and Standards for the private Health Sector.

GP Visits: We Bulk Bill every eligible patient
Physiotherapist Fees:
Scripts and Repeat Referrals We encourage appointments for repeat scripts, referrals and travel forms. 10 minute appointments are available for these services.
Please note it is illegal to backdate referrals
Test Results
Your doctor will advise when they expect results to arrive at the practice. Please call between the hours of 10am-4pm and our reception staff will advise you of the doctors’ instructions regarding each test result. Please do not assume results are normal if you have not heard from us.
Reminder System
Currajong Clinic is committed to Preventative Care. We may issue you with a reminder letter from time to time offering you preventative health services appropriate to your care. An example of this would be a pap smear. If you do not wish to be part of the reminder system please let your GP or our reception staff know.
Home Visits
Home visits are available for regular patients of the practice whose condition prevents them from attending the surgery. The decision to make the house call is made at the doctor’s discretion.
Telephone & Electronic Access
GP’s may be contacted during normal business hours. If a GP is consulting, a message will be taken and relayed to the
GP. We cannot guarantee a response on the day unless deemed urgent by the GP, however either staff or a GP will return your call as quickly as practicable.
Telephone consults are not currently used due to the unreliable nature of internet coverage in this area. Electronic access is only provided using encryption due to confidentiality.
Interpreting Service
An interpreter can be available if required please inform reception staff when making your appointment if you would like to utilise this service.
Health Promotion and Prevention Services
Management of chronic disease is necessary to minimise medications and hospital stays. Our clinic promotes preventative health care and may call you for appointments on a regular cycle to help manage your chronic disease such as diabetes and asthma.
All patients over the age of 75 are encouraged to participate in an annual Health Assessment when called by staff.
Practice Nurse
We have a practice nurse available Monday to Friday who can provide the following services for you after an assessment by your GP: Wound Care, Immunisations, Health Assessments, Ear Syringing, ECG’s, Spirometry, Hearing Tests and Management plans – Please let reception know if you require these services and they will make the appropriate appointment for you.
