About
Dr Maryam Somty Foomany MBBS graduated on 4 March 2017 and has over six and a half years of experience practising as a General Practitioner in Iran prior to relocating to Australia. Her professional interests include chronic disease management, women’s health, preventive care, mental health, rural medicine, and skin medicine. She has a particular interest in dermatology and procedural skin work and is actively pursuing further training and courses to advance her skills in this area.
Dr Maryam is committed to evidence-based practice, continuous professional development, and delivering patient-centred care within rural communities. Outside of medicine, she enjoys water sports, reading, travel, and maintaining strong connections within both the Australian and Iranian communities.
